Senior Pet Adoption Campaign

These designs were inspired by senior pets. Senior pets often have a hard time getting adopted from shelters due to misconceptions about older animals' health and behaviors. According to the ASPCA senior animals have a 25% adoption rate compared to the 60% adoption rate of younger puppies. This project shows those who want to adopt a pet the countless reasons they should choose an older animal. All the animals in the posters are drawn from real-life pets who inspired this project. I used bright colors in the background to get more attention from potential adopters in public spaces. I imagined the poster would be shown in populated areas to educate more people and the booklet and bandana would be given to people who have adopted a senior pet already. The booklet can be opened up and displayed, while the bandana can be placed on the dog or cat.
